Raoul Wallenberg Academy strengthens the board with three new members

Raoul Wallenberg Academy (RWA) welcomes former Minister for Education Anna Ekström, Head of Policy Rosaline Marbinah, and entrepreneur Babak Sadighi as new members of the board. Their expertise and experience will strengthen the organization’s continued work to empower young people’s courage and moral conviction.

Anna Ekström – Education and Schools
Anna Ekström is the former Minister for Education (Social Democrats) and former Director-General of the Swedish National Agency for Education. She is currently Chair of the Swedish Folk High Schools Interest Organisation (RIO). With a law degree and extensive expertise in education and leadership, Anna will help strengthen RWA’s efforts to reach more policymakers, students, and teachers in order to promote human rights work in schools.

Babak Sadighi – Technological Innovation and Digital Development
Babak Sadighi has a background in the tech industry and as a researcher in IT security and blockchain technology. He is the founder and Head of Strategy at the IT security company Axiomatics and has previously served as a research leader at SICS, now part of RISE. With a PhD in Computer Science from Imperial College London and extensive board experience, Babak will contribute strong digital expertise to RWA’s board, along with insights into emerging technologies, machine learning, and innovation for societal development.

Rosaline Marbinah – Youth Leadership and Social Sustainability
Rosaline Marbinah has a background in politics, social sustainability, and youth engagement. She is Head of Policy at Oxfam and has previously served as Chair of LSU – the National Council of Swedish Youth Organisations. Rosaline’s experience in strategic advocacy and her understanding of youth engagement will be a valuable addition to the board.

— We are very pleased to welcome Rosaline, Babak, and Anna to the board. Their strong profiles and diverse expertise will strengthen our work to inspire young people to make a difference in society in the spirit of Raoul Wallenberg, says Anna Urombi, Secretary General of Raoul Wallenberg Academy.
